StepwisePlanning mode for ChatGPTPrivacy
Stepwise is a Chrome extension for chatgpt.com. The product is built to keep planning, trial, and license state local to the browser profile whenever possible.
Stepwise runs inside chatgpt.com and rewrites prompts only when you choose Plan Mode. That means the extension can read the prompt you are sending and the assistant responses that need to be rendered into Stepwise UI elements.
The extension also stores local product state such as remaining free sends, whether the current browser profile is licensed, and the most recent license validation result.
Stepwise does not run its own application backend for prompt storage, user accounts, or message history. There is no Stepwise-hosted database for your ChatGPT conversations in the current release.
Stepwise does not sell or rent personal data.
Payments and license-key issuance are handled by Lemon Squeezy. When you buy a license or manually validate a key, the relevant payment or licensing request is sent to Lemon Squeezy.
This website may use Vercel Analytics to measure aggregate page traffic and link engagement. Stepwise also depends on third-party platforms such as the Chrome Web Store and chatgpt.com to distribute and operate the product.
If you contact support, you may provide your name, email address, order details, or screenshots needed to resolve the issue. Support messages are used only to respond to the request and maintain customer support records.
You can stop using Plan Mode at any time, remove the extension from Chrome, or clear extension storage from the browser. Clearing storage may remove local trial and license state from that browser profile.
